The Kunstencentrum De Vooruit in Ghent asked the brewery to come up with a way to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
The idea was to go back to basics and focus on the brewing activities that were based here in the 1900s.
Our brewery was happy to take up the challenge and create a tailor-made beer. Given the success of this new beer, it really should become a staple on the production line to be shared with all our customers! It is called “Triomf”, as a nod to the beer of the same name produced by the Brasserie Vooruit in Ghent.
How to best enjoy this beer ?
This amber ale is characterised by its peaty, smoky notes from the malt whisky. Can you detect those hints of hazelnut and toast, enhanced by fresh citrus flavours? On the palate, these aromas come together, combined with a pleasing bitterness for a very dry finish.
Best enjoyed at cellar temperature (12°C) or slightly chilled. It goes brilliantly with a traditional spaghetti bolognaise or a homemade cheese burger, as well as our Saison Dupont, Moinette Jeune and Moinette au malt et au houblon cheeses.
