Bière de Miel is back after 75 years!

Bière de Miel was a speciality of the Rimaux-Deridder farm-brewery back in 1880. It won numerous awards at regional agricultural fairs. It was only 40 years later that Alfred Dupont bought the property for his son, Louis.

Off the radar for more than 75 years, Bière de Miel made a comeback in 1997, and this time it was organic*.
The current label is a faithful reproduction of the illustration used back in the day. Bière de Miel is back with a bang among its peers.

How to best enjoy this beer ?

The slightly golden Bière de Miel features hints of chestnut honey, as well as orange and flowery notes (mimosa). These aromas are also on the palate, with a hint of hazelnut; the flavour is full-bodied, without any trace of sugar, which disappears during fermentation.

Best enjoyed at cellar temperature (12°C) or slightly chilled, as an aperitif or to accompany dessert or our Carré à la Moinette cheese.
